These satellite images were obtained from this site and a description is here. The Terra image is recorded at approx noon CDT and the Aqua image is approx 2 hrs later at 2pm CDT. I've found a good view of the lake is typically only possible every few days due to cloud cover. This site gives a good indication of cloud cover for the day. Spring 2010  Cloudy 4-6-2010

  Note- False color tends to show clouds as white or light blue, ice and snow as medium blue, and water as dark blue or black. Blurred images occur when the satellites pass off to the side and not directly overhead.      Fall 2008         Spring 2008
